| Duration |

The course of study extends over a period of at least FOUR YEARS (full-time). The maximum period of study is six years. |
| Requirements |
|
Hold a valid HIGCSE or IGCSE Certificate (with passes in at least five subjects);
- English is a compulsory subject and should normally be obtained at IGCSE (as a second language) grade C or better, or a grade D or better at IGCSE (as a first language);
- A candidate must obtain a minimum of 25 points on the UNAM Evaluation Point Scale to be admitted. However, if the minimum point of 25 is obtained, it does not necessarily ensure admission. Entrance is based upon places available within the Faculty and awarded on the basis of merit;
- Admission will also be considered for persons who qualify through the Mature Age Entry Scheme;-Enrolled nurses who qualify through the pre- examination of the learning packages with grade 12; and also those with grade 10 who qualify through Mature Age Entry examination and the pre- examination of the learning packages will also be considered for the course. Students in these categories will be exempted for the First year and will only sit for Three Years full- time. |
| Structure |
|
The full curriculum consists of 39 modules in total. A student wishing to pursue his/her studies leading to this diploma will not be permitted to re-register for various courses within the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences if (s/he has not passed a minimum of course equivalents as indicated below:
FOUR (4) modules should have been passed after the first year of registration;
SIX (6) modules should have been passed after the second year of registration;
EIGHT (8) modules should have been passed after the end of the third year of registration;
TWENTY NINE (29) modules should have been passed after the fourth year of registration. |
