| Methods |
|
Trainees work in the assigned
hospital department 5 days a week. They participate in the
routine activities of the host department, including departmental
seminars and conferences, and supervised rounds, bedside
instruction, surgery and invasive procedure s. Lectures
on general topics in medicine, health sciences, and cultural
aspects of Israel are given on the Tel Aviv University campus |

| Scholarship |
|
Applicants from certain geographic
regions are awarded grants covering tuition, lectures, health
insurance, malpractice insurance, hotel accommodation, professional
tours and organized excursions around Israel, and in addition
receive a monthly stipend of about $400 to partially cover
the cost of living in Tel Aviv, which is approximately $700
a month. Information about eligibility for grants and application
forms are available at Israeli Embassies.
Grants are not available for applicants from the United
States, Canada and certain other industrialized countries,
and they have to cover their own expenses, including housing
and living expenses. |
