Profile |
The programme is suitable for students from all over the world. Students must have a first degree in nutrition or an equivalent background. We have a student centered approach to learning encouraging students to use their own country or work experience as a basis for applying theoretical concepts to the solution of practical problems of public health significance. |
| Requirements |
You must satisfy the Regulations for Admission to Degree Programmes as specified in Section VIII of the General Regulations. Normally a good first degree (at least, second class) in nutrition, dietetics or other biomedical or health sciences is required; the Board of the School of Medicine may accept candidates with other qualifications. |
| Structure |
Students can study full or part-time. The programme is arranged as 6 modules and a research project. Normally you will attend the University for two, three day teaching blocks per module; three modules normally run in semester 1, and three in semester 2. The three modules taken in semester 1 must normally be successfully completed before progressing to modules in semester 2. The research project runs for 14 weeks; normally this can only begin once all modules have been successfully completed. Credit for prior learning is available on application. |
