This research course provides the opportunity for students to develop their research and analytical skills and specialised knowledge in a field of Public Health and apply these to one of the many areas of interests in either an applied or research application.
Next Beginning Annually in Fall
Duration 1-2 years full-time or equivalent part-time
Requirements Either an honours degree in and related to Public Health or one of the several Postgraduate Diplomas offered by the School in Public Health, Health Sciences, Health Promotion, Health Administration or Occupational Health and Safety. Degrees that are equivalent from other recognised tertiary education institutions are also accepted. There is a further requirement that students must demonstrate evidence of high performance (course weighted average of 70 per cent) combined with a background in research methodology. Applicants without this requirement may be required to enrol in additional bridging units. Applicants with a postgraduate or honours degrees in other areas, eg. Nursing, Psychology, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, Human Communication Science, Chemistry, Biology, Veterinary Sciences or Engineering among others, may also apply but may need to take some additional bridging units in specific areas of Public Health.
