The course will be a mix of lectures by expert scientists in the field and interactive group discussions. It provides updated information on various aspects of cystic echinococcosis.

• “Watch and Wait” for inactive, uncomplicated liver cysts • Management of extra-hepatic and extrapulmonary locations.

The course consists of lectures, demonstrations, and clinical rounds for live ultrasound scanning at Cayetano Heredia Hospital. Lectures and demonstrations will involve the entire group. Clinical rounds for scanning will be in small groups with faculty.
