In today’s changing world,
health managers need to balance many different roles and
responsibilities in order to manage the complex needs of
national health programmes. In order to build support for
health projects, managers must often spend a great deal
of time building networks and establishing coalitions among
external and internal supporters. This course will demonstrate
to participants how to best utilise their existing networks
to gain support for different health initiatives. In addition,
participants will be guided through various negotiating
and collaborating processes that address diverse stakeholder
perspectives. Furthermore, attendees will practice how to
facilitate effective meetings and discussions in order to
reach a group consensus through focused conversation methods.
This course incorporates regular and rigorous practice sessions
with participants working in small groups to discuss important
