CORAT Africa has been offering
a six week course in management for development workers
since 1982. The development context has changed considerably
and new challenges face those charged with the responsibility
for carrying out development programmes, hence the need
to acquire modern up to date skills which this course
offers.
The objectives of the course are:
- To equip the Development Officers with Management
skills, a creative attitude to up to-date knowledge
in order to successfully manage and implement development
programmes and processes
- To equip the Development Officers with skills and
understanding that will enable them face specific managerial
and technical challenges at the strategic and operational
levels of their work.
- To enable participants to reflect Christian values
in relation to development work within the African context
today and or the future.
- To provide the participants with an opportunity to
share experiences.

The course is designed for Programme
Managers, Development Coordinators/Project Officers in Churches
and Church related organizations. It will address the current
challenges in the development field, and equip managers
with new and creative strategies to proactively handle them.
The participants must have 3 years experience in development
work. |
