This programme primarily aims at students wanting careers as recognised epidemiologists. The structure and programme contents are based on the requirements as arranged in the Netherlands for a Licensed Registrar of an A-class Epidemiologist. In Europe steps are being taken to formulate a set of competences and criteria for Epidemiologists. This endeavour bears a liking to the Dutch learning criteria. The intention is to become a part of a larger collaborative programme of European universities that will focus on the international exchange of epidemiology students.
