The masters' degree programme normally takes two years of full-time attendance, distributed over four semesters; whereas doctorate degree programmes take between three and five years of full-time study. Plans are underway to start distance learning programs. |

Our MPH Programis 2 year consisting of first year of course work and in the second year the student under take thier research. |
Participants'
Profile |
|
Since the program is multi disciplinary, admissions are open to candidates from a wide range of disciplines and backgrounds. Examples include: medical doctors, nurses, hospital administrators, nutritionists, and social scientists with science or art degrees. |
| Requirements |
|
A first degree in biological, social or any of the health sciences from a recognized university is mandatory for the institute's master's degree programmes. Potential candidates must have obtained a first or second class undergraduate degree certificates. |
| Scholarship |
|
Students can compete for University wide scholarships that are advertised on campus. In addition Kenyan nationals are encouraged to seek loans from the Higher Education Loans Board. There are limited opportunities available through collaborative research grants. Potential candidates are encouraged to source for and secure commitment for funding before applying. |

The programme will take 12 months and will cover 40 units, which are distributed within three (3) terms. The programme is competence based, and the courses are organized in a logical, sequential order to facilitate the process of learning. The students will be required to undertake an elective course and a research project, which will require close supervision by experienced practitioners and researchers. The course will be implemented using the modular approach and innovative teaching/learning methods. |
