The online Master of Science
in Health Informatics at the University of Illinois at
Chicago is an advanced education designed to help you
affect change and generate organizational consensus from
a position of leadership. Built on the MBA/Business School
model, the UIC Health Informatics program is based in
real world experience and practical skill application.
Gain the knowledge you’ll need to improve access
to health data, define new standards in health care information
technology, and advance the overall delivery of quality
patient care around the world.
Health informatics is the convergence of information
science, computer science and health care, and as a result
of this union, students enrolled at UIC come from a diverse
range of backgrounds including careers as doctors, nurses,
pharmacists, medical and lab technicians, as well as IT
professionals, systems analysts, and database and networking
administrators. Our graduates are poised to lead organizations
as they develop and implement clear health informatics
strategies to improve patient care and ensure access to
information.
