Central Government through agencies such as the Health and Safety Executive, the Health Development Agency and the Health Protection Agency are recognising that the workplace can contribute to the health and well being of employees and the wider community. To reflect this, the programme seeks to develop an appreciation of the value of the promotion of positive health as well as health protection and disease prevention in the workplace.
